Ellen Burt
Ellen Burt is a Kootenay author with two published books, When the Path is not a Straight Line (Maa Press, 2013), and What Forever Feels Like, a memoir of Johnsons Landing (Ellen Burt, 2018). She has spent most of her time at the north end of Kootenay Lake and currently lives in Nelson, B.C. She received an award for creative non-fiction from the Kootenay Literary Awards (2012). Ellen is a spoken word artist, active in the writing community. She is the recipient of the 2023 Richard Carver Award.
