Kootenay “Cultivating Community” Anthology

Calling for submissions to a new Maa Press anthology with the working title of “Cultivating Community.” The creative non-fiction narratives for the anthology should capture a magic moment when a group of people achieved a specific common goal through a joint project. Community canmean any group of people who come together for work, living, play,
survival, making art, spiritual purposes, etc.

Each piece should be 4,000-6,000 words in length and tell a story.

Deadline for submissions or proposals for submissions is Nov. 30, 2009.

Maa Press also welcomes professional quality manuscripts that explore land
and/or people in the Columbia mountain context. Up until now, we’ve
published only non-fiction but we are open to fiction and poetry as well.
